Project Views
Projects.ink offers multiple views to help you visualize and manage your work in different ways.
Board View
The Board View is a Kanban-style interface where tasks are displayed as cards organized by groups and sprints.
Layout
- •Drafts Panel (left): Floating panel for unassigned tasks
- •Sprint Rows: Horizontal sections for each sprint
- •Group Columns: Vertical columns within each sprint
Key Features
- •Drag and Drop: Move tasks between groups and sprints (press and hold briefly first on touch devices)
- •Inline Editing: Click on status or priority icons to change them directly
- •Task Density: Toggle between compact and normal card sizes
- •Add Task: Click "+" in any group or use the "Add Task" button
Using the Board
- 1.Create tasks by clicking "+ Add Task" in any group
- 2.Move tasks by dragging them to different groups or sprints
On touch devices, press and hold a card until it highlights, then drag.
- 3.Open task details by clicking on a task card
- 4.Quick edit status/priority by clicking their icons on the card
Timeline View
The Timeline View combines multiple time-based sub-views for schedule planning and stakeholder storytelling. When a project has more than 50 tasks and an active sprint exists, it opens with that sprint selected by default to reduce initial load on large projects.
Features
- •Task Bars: Each task with dates appears as a horizontal bar
- •Current Sprint Default: For projects above 50 tasks, active-sprint tasks load first; clear or change the Sprint filter to view tasks outside the current sprint
- •Drag to Move: Drag task bars to change start/end dates (press and hold briefly first on touch devices)
- •Resize: Drag the edges of bars to adjust duration
- •Zoom: Use Ctrl+scroll to zoom in/out
- •Today Marker: Red vertical line shows current date
Working with Timeline
- •Tasks without dates appear as dashed outlines
- •Click a task bar to open its details
- •Drag horizontally to scroll through time
- •Unscheduled tasks can be given dates here
Milestone View
The Milestone sub-view provides a high-level, boardroom-ready presentation of your project journey.
- •Phases: Tasks are grouped by Sprint or Group into visual phases
- •Journey Line: Phases appear as stops along a vertical or horizontal timeline
- •Summary Strip: Quickly scan the current phase, next phase, project pulse, next event, and target date
- •Phase Cards: Each card shows status, date range, completion progress, blockers, overdue work, owners, and curated highlights
- •Visual States: Completed phases in green, active phase highlighted with a pulse effect, future phases grayed out
- •Health Signals: Each phase is marked as On Track, Watch, At Risk, or Blocked
- •Presentation Mode: Switch to a cleaner storytelling layout for screen-sharing and reviews
- •Curate Highlights: Open the Curate panel to show or hide specific tasks from each phase card
- •Layout Toggle: Switch between vertical and horizontal layouts
Calendar View
The Calendar View shows your project schedule in a familiar calendar format.
Elements Displayed
- •Task Due Dates: Colored dots on due date
- •Sprint Ranges: Background highlighting for sprint periods
- •Important Events: Custom events like milestones, deadlines, presentations

Using Calendar
- •Month/Week toggle: Switch between views
- •Click a date: Create a new event
- •Click an event: Edit or view details
List View
The List View provides a comprehensive table or tile view. When a project has more than 50 tasks and an active sprint exists, it starts with that sprint selected for faster loading; clear or change the Sprint filter to show tasks outside the current sprint. Smaller projects show all tasks by default.
View Modes
- •Detail List: Table with sortable columns
- •Tile: Grid of task cards
Search
Use the search bar to quickly find tasks by title, description, or task number. Results update as you type.
Multi-Select & Bulk Actions
Select one or more tasks to apply bulk actions:
- •Click the checkbox next to any task to select it
- •Shift+Click to select a range of tasks
- •A floating action bar appears at the bottom with options to:
- Set Status, Set Priority
- Move to Group, Move to Sprint
- Set Assignees, Delete Tasks
Note: Available actions depend on your role in the project.Filtering
Filter tasks by:
- •Status (To Do, In Progress, Review, Done, Closed)
- •Priority (Low, Medium, High, Urgent)
- •Group
- •Sprint
- •Assignee
Sorting
Sort by:
- •Title (alphabetical)
- •Priority (urgent first)
- •Due Date (soonest first)
- •Status (to do first)
- •Created Date (newest first)
Inline Editing
In Detail List mode, click any cell to edit:
- •Title, Status, Priority
- •Group, Sprint
- •Start Date, Due Date
Overview
The Overview provides a dashboard with project statistics and charts.
Metrics Shown
- •Total tasks and completion percentage
- •Tasks by status breakdown
- •Tasks by priority breakdown
- •Upcoming deadlines
- •Recent activity
