Comments
Comments enable team discussion directly on tasks.
Accessing Comments
- 1.Click on any task to open the Task Modal
- 2.Comments appear in the right panel (WhatsApp-style)
Writing Comments
- 1.Type your message in the input field at the bottom
- 2.Press Enter or click the send button
- 3.Your comment appears immediately
- 4.Use Shift+Enter to insert a new line
Markdown Support
Comments support Markdown formatting:
- •Bold:

Inline code: wrap with backticks - •Code blocks: wrap with triple backticks
- •Lists, headings, blockquotes, and more
- •Task lists:

Use the Write/Preview tabs above the input field to preview how your comment will look before sending.
@Mentions
- •Type @ to see a dropdown of team members
- •Select a member to mention them
- •Mentioned members see a highlight indicator on the comment
Reply to a Comment
- •Hover over any comment and click the Reply icon
- •A "Replying to…" banner appears above the input, showing the message you're answering
- •Send your reply — it displays a quoted preview of the original at the top of the bubble
- •Tap the quoted preview to jump back to the original comment
- •The original author is notified that you replied
File Attachments
- •Click the paperclip icon to attach files
- •Use keyboard paste (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V) for supported clipboard files/images
- •Supports images, PDFs, Excel/CSV files, documents, and archives
- •Pending files appear beside the input before you send
- •Comments can be text-only, file-only, or text plus files
- •Files upload only after you send, and the whole message is kept together if an upload fails
- •You can cancel an active upload; your draft and selected files stay ready to retry
- •If you close a task with unsent text or files, Projects asks before discarding them
- •After sending, Undo can remove the new comment and uploaded files for a short time
- •Image, PDF, CSV, and Excel attachments can be previewed from the comment bubble
Comment Display
- •Your comments: Right-aligned, blue background
- •Others' comments: Left-aligned, gray background
- •Each comment shows the author's avatar and name
- •Timestamps appear below each message
- •Markdown is rendered in the chat bubbles
- •In light theme, selected text uses a stronger blue highlight so copied content is easier to see
Deleting Comments
- 1.Hover over your own comment
- 2.Click the delete icon that appears
- 3.Confirm deletion
Best Practices
- •Be specific: Reference what you're discussing
- •Use formatting: Bold key points, use code blocks for technical details
- •Keep it professional: Comments are visible to all members
- •Use for discussion: Not for task updates (use status/fields instead)

- •Comments: Discussion and collaboration
